CARLSBAD, CA — In her race for reelection, Senate Republican Leader Pat Bates recently released a new ad focusing on her fight to repeal the Car and Gas Tax and stop Jerry Brown’s “Bullet Train”.

“The recently passed Car and Gas Taxes will cost hardworking California families $52 billion dollars,” noted Senator Bates in discussing some of her top priorities at a recent campaign event. “This dangerous tax comes on top of the estimated $77 to $98 billion dollar price tag for the high speed train boondoggle, which is already years behind schedule and billions of dollars over budget. With 1/5 of all Californians still living below the poverty line, California families simply cannot afford this recklessness from Sacramento.”

The ad highlights Senator Bates’ success as a champion for families and small businesses and emphasizes the hard work she has done in the State Senate to cut unnecessary regulations here in our communities.
